1st Day of KindergartenTate was so excited for Kindergarten he couldn't wait for it to start. He was so ready and was much braver than his mother.
The only concern Tate had was going to school for 9 hours. He gets on the bus at 7:15 and returns home at 4:30. For about a month he kept asking if he could go every day for 41/2 hours.

Tate freezing at 7:00 in the morning. The air is much cooler at that time of day.
The night before school started, Tate got a special blessing from his dad. In his blessing he was told he would be an example to his class mates. When others are doing wrong, he will do right. He was blessed with an open mind for learning and much much more. It was a beautiful blessing with Taylee marching around Tate's chair just a singing and then trying to turn on the TV. Mom was a little distracted but it meant a lot to Tate.
My special growing family.

My special growing family.
Trying to enjoy the crip air.
What a handsome grown up Kindergartener.
The long walk down the lane when mom got to give last minute advise.
Waiting for the bus.
The second I saw the bus coming down our road I lost it and just started to cry. Mike was with me so I had to turn and pretend I was just fine.

Bus driver Berni Winn. Tate wasn't a bit hesitant. He'd been waiting for this his whole life. My friend Charity called as soon as I got in the house and we were just beside ourselves. We couldn't believe we hadn't sent a cell phone with them so we could check and see how they were doing. As soon as we hung up the phone we would cry so we called each other back and talked for four hours.
I had a dentist appointment that day and it was the best time I've ever had at the dentist because it kept my mind occupied for a few minutes. It was one of the longest days of my life.
Tate returning from his first 9 hour day of school. Does he look happy or what? First Tate said, "Mom, I'm the best student in my school!" I asked how he knew that. He said, "I think I am!?! Mom, I want to go back. I want to be there still. I asked, "So 9 hours didn't seem too long!" He said, "That didn't seem like 9 hours. That just seemed like 12 1/2 little minutes, I want it to be longer. He laughed when I told him I cried. He said, "That's funny! I didn't even miss you. You're only like 3, or maybe 20 houses away from the school. You're not very far." I asked, "So you like school? He replied, "Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much."
He sat by Mickayla and Rett Robertson on the bus.
His best friends are Colby and Christian Castillo.
The bully of the class is Colton.
He says Mrs. Jones is so nice.
He is far above average on his letters and sounds when he took the first test of the year.
His teacher wrote, "PERFECT STUDENT" on his first report card.
